By Major Peter Hilton, Media Ops Team, GMACF
The final military part of this year’s Annual Camp, as always, was the County marching off parade past the Commandant. This year’s march was led by 3 (Somme) Company who had earned the right by virtue of being this year’s Champion Company, with the rear of the column being brought up by 6 (Quebec), who had come very close to being Champion Company themselves. After that, it was back to the accommodation and change into civvies, ready for the evening’s entertainment in the Camp NAAFI.
Normal – if there is a “normal” in the ACF – training will resume in September as the company training cycle continues to prepare Cadets for fresh challenges and qualifications and another Annual Camp, in 2016 to be held at sun-kissed Otterburn in the hills of Northumbria.
